Halloween '13!!!

Halloween is one of our favorite times of year at Fossil Creek Liquor. It gives us a chance to get creative with extra spooky drinks while making sure our "treats" are extra delicious. Fossil Creek Liquor has a few special Halloween recipes to share that will make 2013 extra special. And don't forget to get extra spooky because it is the 13th year of the century and that's definitely something to celebrate at
this time of the year!

Fossil Creek's Vampire Kiss Tini
(Serves 1)

Our Vampire Kiss Tini is the love child of a Vampire and a French Martini with just a splash of champagne to celebrate the brilliance of this creation. The Chambord gives you a truly Halloween inspired darkness.

1 ½ oz. Finlandia Vodka
1 ½ oz. Korbel Champagne
3/4 oz. Chambord black raspberry liqueur
Red Sugar for rimming
A thin drizzle of grenadine (for rimming)


Rim a martini glass with red sugar and a thin drizzle of grenadine. Drop a set of vampire teeth in for an added shock. Pour Finlandia Vodka and half of the Chambord into the martini glass. Top with Korbel Champagne. Pour the remaining Chambord over the back of a spoon to make it float at the top. You now have a deliciously creepy cocktail. Happy Halloween!

Fossil Creek's Blood Tini
(Serves 1)

The best way to terrify your guests is to server martini glass filled with blood…. Or at least a cocktail that looks like it.

2 ounce of VeeV Acai Spirit
1 ounce acai juice
½ ounce of fresh lime juice
Top with fresh Korbel Champagne
Lime Wedge for Garnish


Combine VeeV Acai Spirit, Acai Juice, lime juice and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into a chilled martini glass and top with Korbel champagne. Serve with a fresh lime wedge.

Fossil Creek Candy Corn Shots
(80 Shooters)

Jell-O Shots have long been a party favorite. Fossil Creek Liquor helps you class up this old party favorite by serving it inside of oranges. This is sure to be a hit at your Halloween party this year.

1-750ml bottle Cointreau orange liqueur
10 large oranges
1 box of orange jell-o
1 can of coconut milk
knox gelatin



Cut the oranges in half and hollow them out. To create the orange layer boil one cup of water and stir in the orange jell-o. Once the jell-o is dissolved remove from heat and add 1 cup of Cointreau orange liqueur. Pour the mixture into the orange peels, filling halfway. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until firm. For the white layer add ½ cup of water, ½ cup of coconut milk, knox gelatin and sugar to a saucepan. Over medium heat stir the mixture until the gelatin and sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and add ½ cup of Cointreau orange liqueur. Pour the mixture on top of orange jell-o layer and refrigerate over night. With a sharp knife cut the orange halves into eighths and then serve.
